Life in Alba Iulia

For the most part, Alba Iulia is a sleepy university town of about 70,000 people. It has restaurants, shopping, clubs, cafes, two swimming pools and two very nice city parks. What I like most about it is that it is right on the train line to Budapest, Prague, and Vienna. Just take a seat and in no time flat you are back in the west.
What I don't like Alba is the fact that the people here are very anti-English speaking. If I had a dollar for every time someone said "Fuck you" to me because I was speaking English, I could have already paid off my student loans. Ahh, Romania. Well, looking on the bright side at least they don't throw rocks at me like they did in Ploiesti. One must always look one the positive side of things.
